ERAM
DJ / Producer / Curator / Label Manager
Marianna Viscaino, artistically known as ERAM, is an innovative force in electronic music. Co-founder of ZONAexp and a member of TIJOLO Records and Sintonia Vibes, ERAM grew up in the suburbs of Porto Alegre, Brazil, where she was deeply influenced by the 24-hour raves that took place in the rural outskirts of the city. At the age of 12, she and a friend would ride their bikes to a rave on a farm, and from then on, ERAM found herself fully immersed in rave culture. In 2013, amidst Brazil's politically charged climate, underground raves began to gain new dimensions, occupying public and marginalized spaces as a form of protest. ERAM joined forces with her partners in 2015 to start organizing events. After more than a decade of experience, she decided to step away from event production to focus on her career as a DJ, seeking greater female representation in the scene. Her talent quickly established her as one of the leading DJs in Brazil's underground.Blending elements of Brazilian rap and favela funk with intense rhythms of kuduro and baile, her music is further enriched by influences of UKG, Detroit jit, and electro. ERAM has crafted a sound that incorporates her roots and experiences, with a foundation primarily inspired by breaks, dub-reggae, baile funk, and ghetto tech. Reflecting an eclectic and innovative approach, this mix not only harks back to the raves of her youth in Porto Alegre but is also a bold fusion of juke, trance, jungle, and hardcore, combined with influences from club styles.During the quarantine, ERAM took the opportunity to focus on music production, resulting in a series of notable releases. Her works have been released by labels in Germany, the UK, and the USA, and she embarked on her first tour of the UK and Europe in May 2022, starting at the Bang Face festival in Manchester and moving through clubs and festivals in Portugal, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, and England. Her career has taken her to iconic venues such as Tresor and RSO in Berlin, Music Box in Lisbon, Nitsa in Barcelona, POING in Rotterdam, Fuchs2 in Prague and the iconic Fusion festival in Germany. She has also participated in the Bang Face Weekender and the South American tour of the superclub Bassiani in Tbilisi. With mixes for Groove Mag, NTS, Reprezent Radio, and appearances on live broadcasts from CTM Festival's Transformation, HÖR, Rinse France, and The Footwork Jungle, ERAM has established herself as an innovative and influential artist in the hardcore continuum. Her ability to blend diverse styles and her undeniable talent ensure her prominent place in the global electronic music scene.
